In the fourth quarter of 2024, the travel and local app sector in the United Arab Emirates showcased diverse trends across the top-performing applications. Here's a look at the performance of the leading apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Nusuk | نسك observed a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting with approximately 6.9K in early October and peaking at 18.8K by mid-December. Weekly active users also grew steadily, beginning at 51K and reaching over 82K by the end of the quarter.

Visa Airport Companion experienced a significant jump in weekly downloads, especially notable in early December with figures reaching 28K. Active users, however, saw a fluctuation, starting at 51K, dipping in October, and rising again to 44K by the end of December.

Wego - Flights, Hotels, Travel maintained a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 6.8K to 10.2K throughout the quarter. Active users showed an upward trend, starting at 69K and increasing to over 104K by December’s end.

MakeMyTrip - Flights & Hotels saw weekly downloads fluctuate between 7.6K and 8.7K. The app's active users peaked at 205K in mid-October before slightly decreasing towards the end of the quarter.

Finally, nol Pay witnessed a steady stream of downloads, peaking at 9.9K in mid-December. Active users started at 115K, rising to a peak of 147K in mid-November before tapering off to 109K by the quarter’s conclusion.
